Nancy Graves Beveridge

Nancy is a native Nashvillian who graduated from the University of North Carolina and Wake Forest Medical School.  She completed her residency in pediatrics at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital, and is now a pediatrician at The Children’s Clinic of Nashville.  She has served in key leadership roles on the boards of Harpeth Hall School, Eating Disorders Coalition of TN, and various other Nashville non-profit organizations.  Nancy is Joe C. Davis’ cousin.

Delta Anne Davis

Anne is a native Nashvillian who graduated from Denison University and Vanderbilt Law School.  She has practiced civil and criminal litigation with Bass Berry & Sims and Neal & Harwell, and previously served as Managing Attorney in the Nashville office of the Southern Environmental Law Center. She has served in key leadership roles on the boards of Harpeth Hall School, CASA, Nashville Childcare Center, Nashville Public Library Foundation, and various other Nashville non-profit organizations.  Anne is Joe C. Davis’ niece.

William R. DeLoache, Jr.

Bill is a native of Greenville, SC and has lived in Nashville since 1979.  He graduated from Vanderbilt University and University of Chicago Business School.  He worked with Joe C. Davis from 1979-1989 as Treasurer of Davis Coals, Inc.  He later founded a charter school management company, Beacon Education Management, and is currently a private investor with interests in consumer products companies.  Bill has served in key leadership roles on the boards of Dede Wallace Center, Harding Academy, the YMCA, the TN Charter School Center and various other Nashville non-profit organizations.  Bill is Joe C. Davis’ nephew.

Frances DeLoache Ellison

Frances is a native of Greenville, SC, where she currently lives.  She graduated from Vanderbilt University and University of South Carolina Law School.  For many years, she was a healthcare attorney at Haynsworth, Sinkler and Boyd in Greenville.  She has served in key leadership roles on the boards of various non-profit organizations in Greenville, including the Greenville Health System, the United Way, the Community Foundation, the Junior League and several others.  Frances is Joe C. Davis’ niece.

Staff

Angela Moretti Goddard

Angela is the Foundation’s Executive Director.  She is responsible for (i) helping the trustees establish the Foundation’s general strategic direction, (ii) gathering background information to help the trustees make grant decisions, (iii) coordination with grant seekers throughout the application process, and (iv) following up with grant recipients regarding the outcomes of the grants.

Angela is a native of Watertown, TN and has lived in Nashville since 1999.  She graduated from Middle Tennessee State University.  Prior to joining the Joe C. Davis Foundation in March 2013, Angela worked for the Turner Family Foundations for several years.  She has also worked in the development office at Centerstone Community Mental Health Center, and as Director of Marketing at Mastrapasqua Asset Management.  Angela has served on the Home Board of the Junior League of Nashville, on the board of St. Luke’s Community House, and in various other non-profit volunteer roles.  In 2013, she completed the Southeastern Council of Foundations’ Hull Fellowship program for up and coming philanthropic leaders.
